Soy became an official “health food” in the U.S., in 1999, when the FDA
issued a limited health claim for soy’s cardiovascular benefits. This
official recognition was foreshadowed back in 1932, by Jethro Kloss, whose book Back to Eden,
noted that“knowledge of the value of the soybean here in America is one
of the greatest things
ever lauched.” Our soy is non-GMO (genetically modified organisms).
Seaweed’s healthy reputation, on the other hand, rests on its
impressive vitamin and mineral content. Many natural vitamin companies
use seaweed as the source for their nutritients. No wonder you can find
seaweed soap, facial masks, body wraps, tablets, diet products,
toothpaste and more. Our seaweed is organic nori (the kind of seaweed used to wrap sushi).
